first_imgThis year Muhammad should be the #3 tight end on the depth chart, behind Sean McKeon and Nick Eubanks. McKeon is very experienced, and Eubanks has made some big catches already in his first two years on campus. Muhammad will almost certainly start working in there with the first group a little bit. The other tight end options are very raw and skinny, such as Luke Schoonmaker and Erick All. I have always appreciated Muhammad’s blocking foremost among his skills, so I think that’s where he will make the biggest impact in 2019. Muhammad was a borderline player last year, in my mind, a guy who could redshirt or play a little bit. As things turned out, maybe Michigan’s staff should have tried to get him on the field a little bit, since Zach Gentry left for the NFL one year early.
