The crash on the westbound freeway was reported to the California Highway Patrol about 2:10 p.m..According to the CHP, there was a report of a blue Mercedes-Benz hitting the center divider wall and smoking badly. Following that crash a black Mercedes-Benz also hit the center divider wall.There was also a report of a red coupe that had crashed. Paramedics rushed an occupant in that car to an area hospital.
